A new job... :)
Ooookay, this day really was nice to me. :)
First the builders who have been working on the outside of our house have FINALLY finished their renovating works, so no more hammers, drills and whatnot as well as guys working in front of my 1st floor window all day - you can believe me, after 1 1/2 months that can get on your nerves, especially when you're sick with a flu and pretty much can't leave. Granted, they again woke me up, rather kept me from falling a sleep (more about that in a minute), but this time the noise they made was them dismantling their ladders and tools. Freedom! :)
That was the first good news, the second one came about noon: It seems I have a new job. And an interresting one too (from my point of view). Setting up webpages for a creative team, creating templates from their designs, things like that. Over the last week I learned a lot of new stuff, mostly typo3 which is quite different from systems like Drupal (this one here) in several fields (most of them suck a monkey through 10meters of gardenhose at first sight). There is SOME really usefull unique features, but to me it seems they are only interesting for a relative small group of users, I think that 98% of the users never will need them.
Okay, okay, if you're a t3 user and fan, don't be offended: I really just started working with that tool and the pretty different user interface and handling of matters still slow me down quite a bit, I'll get used to it with more training.
This night I spent fiddling around with a CSS script that, after some last changes I did at 1:30 this morning, completely messed up the template's layout. And of course I then got totally nervous and it took me until 6:30 to actually find that lousy error. But even so, tomorrow I'll start over again and this time do it right from the beginning. No worries. :)
The company I'll be working for is in Munich, which is quite a way away from Bonn (about 500km), so I might even be moving to Bavaria sooner or later... We'll see... :)
